For Our Patients

Welcome to the department. We aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions.

On your arrival, you will meet our receptionist, who will give you directions to the correct section of the department. Here, another member of staff will explain your procedure to you. If there is a short delay, please bear with us – we might be waiting for an imaging procedure on another patient to be completed.

Useful things to bring / have with you: For amusement: newspapers, magazines, puzzles / crosswords, pen and paper.

Belongings and valuables: You may be asked to undress during your procedure. Please keep your belongings and valuables with you.

Clothing: You may be able to avoid undressing completely if you wear separates, such as trousers and shirts and not dresses or overalls.

Food and drink: It is important that you follow any instructions about eating and drinking that we send you in the post, or which we discuss with you on the telephone. Please check with radiology staff before you consume any food or drink that you have brought with you or purchased in the hospital.

For Our Visitors

How many: Our waiting area has limited space and we ask that you limit the number of people accompanying you to as few as necessary.
