Since 1996, physical therapists around the world celebrate World Physical Therapy Day on September 8 of each year. This year, together with the Physical Therapy Association of Gensan and other private hospitals in General Santos City, St. Elizabeth Hospital conducted an outreach program at the Brgy. San Jose Gymnasium with the theme “Role of Physical Therapists in the Society”.
The program was meant to raise awareness about the crucial contribution physical therapists make to keep people mobile, well, and independent. PT evaluation and treatment were provided along with an educational talk on physical therapy services, tips, and home instructions.
