The Emergency Department of St. Elizabeth Hospital Inc. provides care to patients with urgent medical conditions ranging from complex problems such as heart attacks and strokes to simple but pressing conditions such as cuts and broken bones. Care is provided 24 hours a day 365 days a year, serving more than 20,000 patients a year.
The ultimate goal of the Emergency Department is the integrated care of our emergency patients. Therefore, our unit possesses the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities.
We address patient needs based on urgency of the cases, using a triage system in delivering fast and accurate treatment to patients needing immediate medical attention.
Our team includes board-certified resident physicians, nurses trained in emergency and critical care and other specialists who are called upon as needed in areas such as gynecology,oncology, neurology, obstetrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery.
